Once a World Champion Powerlifter…
Now a Registered Dietitian for Powerlifters.

  • The Professional Journey

EmPowering Nutrition LLC was established in 2021 by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Emily Ho. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University in 2018. Shortly after, she applied and matched to her top choice dietetic internship at Rutgers School of Health Professions, completed at least 1200 hours of supervised practice in 10 months, and then sat for the RD exam, where she passed on the first try! Working as a community dietitian in Newark, NJ for over 2.5 years has translated to Emily's private practice by teaching people that nutrition doesn't have to be fancy, organic, non-GMO, etc. You can still live a nutritious lifestyle even while on a budget!

Emily completed her Master’s Degree in Applied Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning Concentration) from Concordia University Chicago in May 2024!

  • The Powerlifting Journey

Emily's powerlifting journey is one filled with years of hands-on competition and handling experience that can be transferred to her clients. Not only has she competed 8 times, but she's also handled several powerlifters at meets: helping them load weights, choose attempts, check form, etc. She's experienced both good and bad meets, so she knows the drill and will prepare you as best as possible for any meet: local, national, or international.

    2016 - 2018
Emily started her powerlifting journey as a founding member of Rutgers Powerlifting in 2016 all because her friend told her, "You're strong. You should join my friend’s powerlifting club!" Rutgers Powerlifting gave her the opportunity to travel to different cities around the world to compete at multiple USA Powerlifting's Collegiate National Championships and International Powerlifting Federation's World Championships. Honestly, the list is long, so just read below to find out what meet's she's competed at.
